How to Get Your Facebook Messenger Link

Your Facebook Messenger link lets buyers and sellers on MLS.PH start a Messenger chat with you in one tap — without sharing your phone number or email. Here are three ways to get yours using the mobile app.

What MLS.PH accepts

You can paste any of these into the Facebook Messenger Link field on your profile:

  • https://m.me/yourusername — opens Messenger directly (best)
  • https://facebook.com/yourusername — your Facebook profile URL
  • https://fb.com/yourusername — short form of the above

Method 1: Use your m.me link (fastest for buyers)

  1. Open the Messenger app and tap your profile photo at the top-left of the chat list.
  2. Find your @username shown right under your name (e.g. @juandelacruz).

When someone taps m.me/juandelacruz, Messenger opens a new chat with you.
  1. Paste it into the Facebook Messenger Link field on your MLS.PH profile.
Don't see a username? Set one with Method 3 below, or skip ahead to Method 2 (your profile link works without a custom username).

Method 2: Copy your Facebook profile link

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap your profile photo to open your profile.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (•••) next to Edit Profile.
  3. Choose Copy Link to Profile from the menu that appears.

In the Facebook app, open your profile and tap the three-dot menu, then choose Copy Link to Profile.
  1. Paste the link into the Facebook Messenger Link field on MLS.PH. You'll get something like https://www.facebook.com/juandelacruz.
If your copied link looks like facebook.com/profile.php?id=10000123456789, that's your numeric profile ID. It still works — just paste the full link as-is.

Method 3: Set or change your Facebook username

A username gives you a cleaner Messenger link (e.g. m.me/juandelacruz) and is easier to share.

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap the menu (three lines) at the bottom-right.
  2. Tap Settings & Privacy Settings.
  3. Under Account, tap Personal details Username.
  4. Enter a username. It must be 5+ characters, contain only letters, numbers, and periods, and be unique on Facebook.

People can find your profile and Messenger faster with a username. At least 5 characters; letters, numbers, and periods.

  1. Tap Save. Your Messenger link is now https://m.me/yourusername.

Why this helps your listings

Buyers prefer messaging over phone calls. A working Messenger link makes it easy for them to reach you in one tap — without you having to publish your phone number. It's also a signal of legitimacy: a real Facebook profile attached to a real person.
